The Province of Ontario has the most number of government officials who do nothing everyday but think of new ways and means to screw the taxpayers. They have excuses for every foolish action of theirs that goes awry. No, no, no ... they are never at fault and whatever they say has to be accepted and believed without even the tiniest sliver of a doubt. This mayor can defend the TTC until he is blue

Miller's backing of Giambrone is most likely welcome news to the embattled TTC chair. Unfortunately it doesn't repair the damage that has been done. At this point Giambrone's sole concern is no doubt to salvage whatever he can from his personal and public life. Politics is a rough a life. Everyone has skeletons. It doesn't matter who you are. There are things we d

Another great marketing campaign is going on Toronto’s subway system right now. Check out Covergirl’s new take on the TTC turnstiles:
I don’t know what a “lash blast” is, but it’s a heck of a good use of the physical environment in an advertising campaign. I think it’s especially effective because of the the [...]

Don’t you dare call this man “lazy” and “overpaid”:
You’ve been warned.
In related news: TTC boss stokes the fire… (emphasis mine)
As I left the room to do a radio interview, eight TTC operators surrounded me and started taking my picture with their cellphone cameras.
I’m not sure why except perhaps to intimidate — not that they did. [...]

The perfectly calculated, carefully manipulated political career of (TTC chairman) Adam Giambrone just became unzipped.
The Ward 18 councillor and declared candidate for mayor of Toronto has seen his ambition to run this city take a hard turn for the worse after he admitted he had an “inappropriate relationship with a young woman.”
Confronted by the Toronto Star after [...]

The TTC doesn't help alleviate the stereotype of Torontonian arrogance. Following public outcry at their inefficiency, TTC employees are rambling against the public and apparently want to add insult to injury through some work-to-rule action. Where on earth does the TTC find them?
Every public transit system will have its ups and downs, as much as every business has good and bad employees. Commo

So the TTC has finally launched an online trip planner, joining the ranks of most other first-world cities. Here’s how the flow chart to design this webapp might have looked:
1. What is your departure point?
2. What is your destination?
3. Will you be travelling at rush hour? [If yes, go to 4)]
4. How would you like [...]

I hate the TTC. When I went to the University of Toronto I use to walk 30 to 40 minutes (sometime in a blizzard) just to avoid using the TTC. It seems that I am not alone. There is now an entire website dedicated to "trash talking the TTC."I encourage everyone living in the Greater Toronto Area to check it out.

A TTC union reacted to the media firestorm over a napping collector yesterday by criticizing the rider who took the photo, even as a second photograph of another sleeping TTC collector emerged.
“It is very discouraging that the picture taker and, apparently, other customers made no attempt to determine of there was anything wrong with this [...]
