As has been well reported on by now, 30 Liberals MPs sat on their hands during the federal budget vote, allowing it to pass in the House of Commons. What’s particularly interesting are some of the big-mouth big-names in that [...]

Would you like to know the names of the abstainers? Here they are:

29 Liberals were absent from Parliament for a confidence vote on the budget earlier tonight.29 Liberals were not there to do their job and represent the people who elected them to office, which is a bit ironic considering their biggest complaint over prorogation was that they were not allowed to do their job, in Ottawa, in Parliament. Here are the Liberals that did, either by choice or by being tol

…and I may be way off base but it just struck me that maybe all this crazy focus on the Rahim Jaffer and Afghan detainees may be a diversion from the fact that the Liberals let the budget pass.

And why [...]

Is online political advocacy the future of our democracy? I'm sure proponents will credit new media and online mobilization of activists for the election of Barak Obama, but I'm trying to figure out if this is just a fad or the future. Holy frijole, batman. If anyone ever wondered why the Liberals would install a pro-torture, pro-targeted assasination MP as leader of their party: look no further. John McCallum, Ujall Dosanjh, Marlene Jennings - the whole crew were luxuriating in their cabinet-post limos when prisoner abuses were apparently at their most ferocious. Except Iggy. He wasn't there. He was too busy on Charlie Ro

For an official opposition that has expressed no confidence in the Government and has declared the critically important budget a flawed document, you would think that perhaps they would have had one or two suggestions for how to improve the legislation. I think Mr. Akin is trying to create a political story where there clearly is none, and I must admit I'm somewhat surprised that the normally prudent commentator is making these allegations. If Dalton McGuinty’s Liberals were car manufacturers, they would think nothing of trying to market a car without an engine.
This is the clear impression left by the Ontario throne speech. (Probably called that because it appears to have been written in a "throne moment".) Having committed to 20,000 new post-secondary education spaces, McGuinty indifferently admitted [...]

Liberal MP Ujjal Dosanjh just can't help himself when it comes to smearing our Canadian Forces.
Yesterday he went on the CBC to imply that our soldiers "ordered the torture" of Taliban terrorists and "sent people to torture" -- or at the very least consented to that happening. It's all very vague -- Dosanjh is building accusations on rumours, so it's all a product of his own fervid im

It is official; the Liberal Party is not going to force an election over the budget. I right in that this is a relatively tough budget in that it is about constraint in government expenditures, with some cuts coming.I was right in that the usual suspects of the Liberal Left are choked as hell, and continue, in spite of clearly the majority of public sentiment to the contrary, to suggest all kinds of ways to spend a helluva lot more money...meaning increasing the deficit even more.
