And declares catastrophe still imminent: We Can’t Wish Away Climate Change – NYT op-ed by Al Gore. The rhetoric is extremely nauseating but here’s the kicker: …It is true that the climate panel published a flawed overestimate of the melting rate of debris-covered glaciers in the Himalayas, and used information about the Netherlands provided to it [...]

Recently I had a couple of friends tell me that the crazy snow storms going on around the world do not put into question the 'global warming' theory, but in fact prove that global warming IS occurring. One said that she heard 'there is always a cooling period before the great warming begins' and another said it's because the glaciers are melting, putting more moisture into the air, and then i

So the IPCC is taking some real heat, and your everyday person on the street is starting to get the picture. I have never been fooled into thinking that "global warming" was what the eco-nuts were concerned about, they forgot about REAL pollution in their rush for grant money and jobs. Face it, without a disaster in the future all the environmentalists had no jobs, except maybe tree hugging. So,

However, the bad news is: Lots of glaciers are expanding!Good news for 6,000,000,000 inhabitants of the planet. Bad news for AGW zealots...particularly those in charge of UN climate panels, or who make their living off of fear of the world igniting in a puff of CO2 induced smoke at any moment.Follow this link to a list of twelve glaciers, or groups thereof, worldwide which...tragically...are getti

Chuckercanuck was wavering on giving this whole project up, but a chance to interview one of the most controversial figures in climate science today was too rich to pass up. Without further ado, here's my interview with Dr. Murari Lai.Chuckercanuck: Dr. Lai, can you hear me?Dr. Lai: Barely.Chuckercanuck: Sorry about that, I recently switched back to Bell.Dr. Lai: Mm.CC: Now, Dr. Lai, you are

Seriously… Glaciers are melting? — Oops, no, that was a boo-boo. Actually, a British climate expert warns of glaciers coming to Wales. Mr. Fruit Fly says “global warming” may cause severe cooling. Hold on…The betting is that 2010 will be the hottest year on record. Climate expert — just another way of saying voodoo weather psychic. They’d probably [...]

Today I read two stories that reinforce my belief that we are being manipulated by vested interests into believing that we have rapid climate change leading to global warming that is the result of human lifestyle choices. The first story was the revelation that the U.N.’s Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) has admitted that its Himalayan glacier melt forecast was a mistake. “Gl

The IPCC caught again. They made it up. The glaciers in the Himalayas are NOT melting.First Climategate, now Glaciergate from Lorne Gunter. (h/t) National Post Hot on the heels of Climategate -- the leaking of thousands of emails and computer files that show many of the world's leading climate scientists fudging the results of their global warming research and contriving to keep skeptics

The UN's climate science panel admitted that they made a mistake, which is their way of saying that they lied & got caught, in asserting that glaciers in the Himalaya mountains won't melt in 25 years. Makes ya wonder what other global warming mistakes this lot has made. I would take a guess & say everything they've ever claimed about global warming.(source)

Once again, the IPCC was proven WRONG on a major issue regarding its claim that the probability of glaciers in the Himalayas "disappearing by the year 2035 and perhaps sooner is very high." in the Fourth Assessment Report. In fact, the scientist that initially informed the IPCC of the glaciers disappearing, immediately retracted his statement after he issued it, months before the Fourth Assessme

The Arctic ocean is warming up, icebergs are growing scarcer and in some places the seals are finding the water too hot, according to a report to the Commerce Department yesterday from Consul Ifft, at Bergen, Norway. Reports from fishermen, seal hunters and explorers, he declared, all point to a radical change in climate conditions and hitherto unheard-of temperatures in the Arctic zone. Explorati

Nobody would blame anyone for feeling perhaps overwhelmed by the barrages of AGW propaganda being hurled daily, if not hourly, by all the usual suspects...particularly those within our MSM, and certain politicians and/or advocacy groups. Oceans rearing up, glaciers crumbling, polar bears dying by the hundreds, polar ice caps dissolving away, doom and gloom, end of the world hysteria pervades every

I hate to say it, so close to Christmas and all, but, the problem at the end of the day with the whole Copenhagen thing is this:People Suck.I have deliberately tried to avoid, of late, getting into the whole debate about whether or not man-made climate change is a reality.  I tend to believe it is, but at the same time, virtually all scientists also agree that we are, at best, slowing an inev

Pope of the religion (cult) of global warming was caught in an unfortunate circumstance during a speech. In his speech, Mr Gore told the conference: “These figures are fresh. Some of the models suggest to Dr [Wieslav] Maslowski that there is a 75 per cent chance that the entire north polar ice cap, during the summer months, could be completely ice-free within five to seven years.”Oops. Let's see what he had to say on CNN today, and check it against the facts...1) A few items picked from emails more than 10 years old.- CNN's interviewer noted many were very recent...and let it go at that. No big deal apparently.2) No "substantive" reason to worry.- The leaked documents strongly suggest falsification of data, suppression of contradicting data and/or science, and collusion to t

The North Pole: Santa’s workshop; deer with fur coats; Polar Bears drinking Coke; Abominable Snow Monsters with abscessed teeth. A way of life is disappearing with the glaciers. The Snow Monster hasn’t been seen alive in 45 years, the polar bears are dying off at a rate that can’t be explained by obesity and juvenile diabetes [...]

One day, Sarah Palin woke up, put on the coffee (fair trade, naturally), looked out the window and said to no one in particular, “where the hell did the glaciers go?“ It’s true, the glaciers are melting at an alarming rate and Alaska is surrounded by cold water. Two-hundred and thirteen communities are threatened by inland [...]
