Blogging Tories posts about "crap"

After watching two parts of TVO’s four-part series on climate change, I confirm that I can’t watch any more of their crap. Actually I watched slightly less than half of last night’s nonsense discussing the media’s reporting of climate change. It was essentially a one-sided ManBearPig extravaganza that promoted ACC (Anthropogenic Climate Change, formerly known [...]

Alas that it has taken me a little while to get around to commenting on this issue, but the fellow behind the blog Rob's Random Thoughts had a very interesting post up a few days ago entitled Mark Steyn Makes Things Up . Here's some of that post:I was reading Mark Steyn's latest in Maclean's, and noticed the following passage:As for “Wilders’s witnesses,” he submitted a list of 18, and t

Breitbart visited the bloggers lounge at CPAC and answered questions from bloggers. His reveations about ACORN were the main focus of the Q&A, but he did manage to mention how the movement needs to stop being defensive and challenge the left's values. Conservative commentators and new media are often barred from the mainstream by established biases and choked by political correctness. When t

A commenter in an earlier thread about the olympics said this: It is not the Canadian way to brag and boast. What is this crap about “owning the podium’. I find the announcers are expecting gold and belittling our opponenets . For example,it was said that ‘its a surprise that the womens hockey team was only [...]

A commenter in an earlier thread about the Olympics remarked that Canadians have been arrogant, and that its unbecoming of Canada, and that its hurting our athletes.  I don’t get it. It is not the Canadian way to brag and boast. What is this crap about “owning the podium’. I find the announcers are expecting gold [...]

Taxes suck, but are obviously necessary if we want things like ambulance service in rural Canada, or essential services in the Far North (government services - passport, HRDC, etc). But here's what's on my mind right now... I heard something about a "Fair Tax" on The Roy Green Show this afternoon (The link is to the CJOB Audio Vault - pick February 13th, 2010 and 3:00pm. Go to about the 6:2

In case anyone didn't know, Bed, Bath and Beyond owns the Christmas Tree Shoppes. If you have never been to one, these are mega dollar stores bursting with Chinese made crap. One point about Chinese made crap that I forgot to mention yesterday: the energy used to manufacture almost all Chinese crap is thermal coal. Not even the low-sulphur coal you find in western Canada. Totally dirty stuff.

So I was watching something on my local channel about some proposed changes to the City bylaws regarding pets/owners. One proposal was to fine people $350 if they were out walking their dogs but did not have a 'doody bag' with them to clean up after their animal.Sorry but I find that ridiculous. I've stepped in dog poo. Just last week I went out to shovel my front walk and found a GIANT pile of

Dr. Richard North, EU Referendum, elaborates: And now for AfricagateSimilar in effect to the erroneous "2035" claim – the year the IPCC claimed that Himalayan glaciers were going to melt – in this instance we find that the IPCC has wrongly claimed that in some African countries, yields from rain-fed agriculture could be reduced by up to 50 percent by 2020.At best, this is a wild exaggeration

From Politicians want teeth to help stop backbiting: Calls for an integrity commissioner to police the behaviour — or misbehaviour — of politicians could grow Monday as two councillors push to strengthen council’s code of conduct. Right, and to hell with the taxpayers — money is no object…especially when it’s OPM paying for such unnecessary crap like [...]

knowingly and by design?   First it is Google that go slant and now Yahoo too does the dirty on us. These search engines are at the mercy of their drivers and the drivers are becoming more and more unstable in the dying days of Leftism. Apparently someone has convinced Yahoo to go into their News Weather data, erase "Ariel, Israel" as a valid location, and replace it "Jenin, Palest

If you believe any of these fraudsters anymore, you are beyond hope.Anomalies, my ass:He [Gavin Schmidt] said any long-term temperature changes recorded at the high Arctic station at Eureka, would likely be "representative" of changes elsewhere in the region, even in a sub-Arctic city like Yellowknife.... right Gavin, representative of temperature changes in different climactic zones where so mu

I don’t have an iota of respect for “journalists” like Antonia Zerbisias who writes for the Toronto Star but she obviously has a built-in audience for her diatribes so if the Star pays people to write crap like she does, that’s their issue. Today though, she crossed the line from political commenter to activist with [...]

Folks:Watch who does talk about this and who doesn't.That will tell us everything we need to know about "our precious democracy." If a PM uses legitimate means to control the parliamentary agenda: democracy is in peril. If Elections Canada wants to bully and malign a specific political party? Why, that's just great so long as it is Tories receiving crap.Hm.

In Vanderveen's article on Flight #227, he reported that bomb-sniffing dogs were brought aboard the plane, which was confirmed by the passenger with whom I spoke. So some Nigerian tried to take down a plane. He strapped some powder to his leg and tried to light it towards the end of the flight. Luckily, he failed. Probably because he's Nigerian and trying to do something other than an internet scam.In typical American reactionary fashion, new rules have been imposed: New rules imposed by the U.S. Transportation Security Administration also limit on-bo

Just spent an hour listening to Roy Green, CJOB, ripping AGW and "Carbon/Emission Trading" to absolute shreds. He was relentless, and...to a self-declared heretic like myself...pretty much thrilling! So, occurs to me that there's still a few out there who'd appreciate knowing just where to turn to, when it comes to our illustrious Canadian MSM (Motto: News guaranteed to melt braincells into lit

I am not alone in thinking that the Left hate Christmas. The knuckleheads on the left want to rid the word "Christmas" from the dictionary. They want it gone from our consciousness and our vocabulary. My hat's off to this blogger for doing research on how the lefties are trying to make people associate the word "Christmas" with layoffs. This year when you receive an email saying "happy holid

... I was wondering last night why young children are being taught about AGW in many schools. My daughter hasn't been taught much about it that I have seen (she is 7) but I do know that her teacher is pretty conservative minded and tries to keep that sort of thing out of the room and deal with issues the children have a good ability to actually understand. But my 12 year old has been inundated wi

Just food for thought: It is -26C (-14.8F) right now with a windchill of -31C (-23.8F). I had to send my 12 year old out to the bus stop in this and in an hour I will be walking the 7yr old to school with my 1yr old all bundled up. Now maybe you can understand why some people joke and say 'bring on the Global Warming' when the weather is like this. It's all well and good to want to change what t

Picture it- August, 2006:  A growing number of Liberal party members "sense something isn't working, but mostly cannot put their finger on what that 'something' is," so they put together a Red Ribbon task force (don't confuse it with supporting our troops) and apparently spent "countless hours determining exactly what that 'something" is." The result of this task force was a 30
