A British National Party EU MP sums up climategate quite nicely, right here.Take note of the last sentence on the site, I think is extremely important and something we should seriously think about."The threat to national sovereignty and the prosperity of all in the developed world from the United Nations cannot be overstated." With the exception of Maxime Bernier, I wish more of our global war

The Iceman made an interesting comment over at the Phantoms place that got me thinking thoughts.Iceman: "Half a million Canadians voted for one of the abstainers. Half a million Canadians who went to the polls to vote for a representative, and that representative was absent on the most important legislative vote of the year."....Half a million! Wow, that is one hell of a lot of Liberal vote

It's about time the Premier lowered royalty rates for the oil industry. He shouldn't have touched them in the first place.Since he raised them couple of years ago, thousands of jobs have been lost, revenues for the government was drastically reduced etc. in turn every sector has suffered. He believed Albertans were not getting "our fair share." (wasn't how I felt btw.) So he went abo

Kinda looks good on him though, don't you think?Gibbs wears Canadian hockey jersey to pay off Olympic betWhite House press secretary Robert Gibbs was a good sport today as he modeled a Team Canada hockey jersey at his briefing, paying off a bet placed on the Olympic gold medal hockey game last month. Yesterday our Premier, Ed Stelmach, announced amendments to Alberta's oil and gas royalty structure, essentially a review of the royalty changes implemented before the world economy collapsed and oil and gas prices fell dramatically. The verdict?Well, having spoken to the Premier on several occasions, my impression is that he is truly a sincere man who wishes to do his best to assist our Province

Linda Duncan the NDP MP for Edmonton-Strathcona is upset. She is upset that conservatives in Alberta want to win back her riding and are, gasp, holding fundraisers for the conservative candidate Ryan Hastman. Oh my, those evil conservatives will stop at nothing to target helpless little ol' Linda. You can read the article here, but there is more to this story than what you read.First off the art

One wonders if Mr. Iffy and his party can actually come up with any real original ideas. For instance, you had Mr. Iffy proposing EI reform ideas that he adopted from the Dippers. OTTAWA - Liberal and Bloc Quebecois MPs plan to unite this week behind a New Democratic Party bill aimed at increasing pressure on the government to standardize employment insurance eligibility across Canada. PM Harper is a doer not just a talker. He doesn't fill space with empty rhetoric like the Liberals generally do. I have heard a lot over the past year or so regarding New York's possible bill passing to reduce salt in restaurants, etc. I know that a lot of people eat too much salt - but that is their choice. I rarely eat out at restaurants and don't buy a lot of ready-made foods to cook at home because for 1, it gets very expensive, and 2, I know that a lot of additives tend to go in and I have high BP so

I already miss the proroguing of Parliament. I haven't been able to watch QP this week, but I don't really need to because it's just back to the same garbage as before Christmas. It's time for MP's to take a look at their responsibilities. First and foremost, they need to listen to their constituents. We don't need 308 MP's going to Ottawa to argue about this bill or that. Liberal MP Ujjal Dosanjh just can't help himself when it comes to smearing our Canadian Forces.
Yesterday he went on the CBC to imply that our soldiers "ordered the torture" of Taliban terrorists and "sent people to torture" -- or at the very least consented to that happening. It's all very vague -- Dosanjh is building accusations on rumours, so it's all a product of his own fervid im
