The long wait, also known as the "void" for baseball fans, is over. The official season started yesterday, but for most teams it starts today. The Jays take on the Twins at home.

The Red Sox appear to be the most powerful team in the AL East, at least on paper. However, the Orioles have added some pieces and have an experienced manager. The Yankees are always strong, but some of their veterans might run into health problems through a full season. The Rays are going to be annoying, as always, although with Crawford and Garza and Soriano gone, nobody expects them to contend.

The Blue Jays are looking good. Spring training started off bumpy but ended strong. The keys will be their situational hitting and how they play against their AL east rivals. Pitching is solid, not spectacular, but the bullpen is bit of a question mark.
