So there is a Lib candidate here in Edmonton named Claudette Roy. Now there's a rumour floating around that she was involved in an incident several years ago, wherein she was kicked off a flight Montreal to Edm prior to takeoff due to drunk/obnoxious behaviour. Then reportedly tried to sue the airline for mistreatment.

I'm curious to find out if the rumour is true, and this was in fact Ms. Roy. I tried Googling it a few weeks back, but the only article I coudl find was pretty vague, and now it has disappeared from the web.

Can anybody more web-savvy than me (i.e. pretty well everybody) figure out how to find this info? If a lawsuit was involved, there must be some record out there, those records don't go away. thx in advance.

What's this person's background? Are they high profile prior to being a Lib candidate? that increases the odds of there being articles about her.

Is this her:

A member of the Board of Trustees from
the very beginning of the Corporation,
Claudette Roy served as Vice-Chair for
four years before her appointment as Chair in November 2003.
An educator by profession, Ms. Roy spent most of her career
teaching Social Studies at the senior level in French immersion
and French first language schools, and in school administration.
She has initiated many Francophone projects and institutions,
including Albertaís first publicly funded French first language
school. She subsequently served as a member of the Minister of
Educationís task force that led to the creation of Francophone
school boards in the province.

Yes, that sounds like her. Well respected in the francophone community in Edm, although as one local rag put it, "well past her best before date". Ouch. Anyway, I just want to find out about the airplane thing. Interesting if true, and not really our style to be talking up the rumour if it isn't.
