I've asked around and I cannot find the policy's for childcare from John Tory?
So far all I have is he is still funding Ontario Early Years but nothing for parents at home...
Anyone know? |

| This is why I'm skeptical. You guys are mostly Tory's and you have no idea what John Tory's platform is.... does anyone else see something wrong here? |

| Maybe because it does not matter as much to some of us? Did you check his site http://www.lettershipmatters.ca? |

Its an issue that simply does not effect me,
and from the looks of it many of the Ontario voters within this forum are in the same situation as I am.
The child care stance effects me just about as much as the Aboriginal issues do. |

Well it effects me so I have a right to ask.
I checked on your site and I can't get into it. |

No-one is saying you don't have the right to ask. No-one here has an answer for you. Maybe you should just do your own homework? |

| I've done it and looked, also asked but found nothing. I was hoping to come in here and ask because most of you keep up to date on this stuff. |

Of course you have the right to ask,
but you generally implied that something was "wrong" because we did not respond with an answer to your query,
As Frank noted next week should be when Mr. Tory will outline some of the more major issues on various topics, perhaps that will shed some light on the matter. |

| I'm sorry, I wasn't implying you were doing anything wrong. I think that it is already Sept the vote is in Oct and there are no policies laid out. That was where I was getting at. |

We are on the same page as far as that goes,
You can access the general party platform here:

But I am hoping that next week brings forth a more firm idea in terms of issues that many of us find important. |

Ya, they haven't released the full platform yet, kinda like how people compained that Harper didn't release any announcements before the election.
However, once the write dropped Harper was making announcements everyday and Martin was left with nothing new to talk about. |

| Harper had a lot before the election. Rick Mercer had choice for childcare on his show in Dec. But I shall wait... ty |

Before the election actually started, the only major thing that Harper announced was the Accountability Act.
Apart from that there wasn't much which actually had a lot of conservatives worried, and the media commenting.
Because the only thing he introduced was the Accountability Act, the media and Liberals expected him to stick to the corruption theme once the writ dropped, however, once election time came he threw the Liberals off course because he was doing announcements everyday.
Remember the Liberals commenting that they weren't announcing things because "nobody was paying attention until after Christmas?".
Turns out they were wrong. |
