its good to see an elected senator being appointed its disappointing however that no other provinces have actually elected any other senators for harper to appoint . i know bc and saskatchewan have mused about the idea but nothing concrete yet . new brunswick may also hold some sort of senate election in a few years but the process is very slow . i think the current senate needs to realise canadians are growing restless with the senate in its current form and expect reform sooner not later .
