Last December, the government gave the required one year official notice of withdrawing from the Kyoto protocol. This December 15th will be un-Kyoto day.

Any word of the impending celebrations? Any pipeline or tar sands ribbon cutting ceremonies in Ft Mac? PM appearances at a monster truck rally?

LOL ... I was happy to read, recently, that there has been no global warming in the last 16 years, despite the increase in carbon dioxide.

You have to admit, when the left dreams, they dream big ... this had to be the biggest scam ever!

JOB-KILLING CAP & TRDE, OR JOB-KILLING REGULATORY ACCESS

The Eco-extremist fixation on a fairy tale about man made “global warning” and their extreme Carbon Tax, Cap, Trade & plan, or the current Sector by Sector excess-regulation approach are socialist-style fiscally irresponsible schemes that expedite the excuse of combating a mythical monster created by the far-left for the purpose of re-distributing wealth from makers to wealth takers.

The Carbon Tax, Cap & Trade, or Sector by Sector Excess Regulation Plan are all far-left conceptualizations of stealth schemes for an economic restructuring scam that will demolish jobs and wealth creation, and consequently, the GNP growth, as well as eventually lowering our standard of living. Second, each of these far-left wing strategies, Cap, Tax, Trade or regulatory accesses, will unnecessarily increase costs that consumers pay for effected and related products, just to please the extreme whack-job environmentalist and their fantasies. Third, these excess and needless regulations or taxes that are inflicted on us to combat an alleged problem will make Canadian products less competitive in other countries.

Our CINO PM and Environment minister have caved into far-left Canadians, and leftist Obama administration and settled on job slaughtering, economy damaging draconian proposals to require car manufactures to nearly double the average fuel economy for passenger cars from 30.2 to 55.4 miles per gallon by 2025. Research shows the plan stands to raise vehicle prices by more than $6000…A study released by the nonprofit Center for Automotive Research in Ann Arbour, Michigan, however estimated the new standards could increase vehicle prices by $10,000 . Also smaller, lighter vehicles pose a problem because they suffer more damage during crashes, resulting in thousands of addition traffic deaths per year.

With these new car access regulations, our left-plunging “conservative” government is expediting immense damage to the potential growth of our economy with their sector by sector job slaughtering approach of over- regulation which is nothing less than a tax on clients of each sector of the economy. CINO Harper and his left-plunging cabinet have created targets that are contrary to their core interest in growth, development of the economy, and improvements to our standard of living. Thus the CINO conservatives are taxing us by stealth with costly regulations that leave us with less discretionary funds!

All of these quasi-socialist plans will massively and repressively increase our taxes that would most excruciatingly fall on low-income workers while transferring billions of our tax dollars to bigger and bigger, and move intrusive governments. Over regulations, a carbon tax, or a Cap,Trade & Tax plan will slaughter tens of thousands of our jobs, bestow another pretext for more big government, and diminish our and future generations standards of living.

Now that communism has been invalidated, “Climatism” is the new “ism” adopted by the extremists as their vehicle to increase taxes and transfer wealth. The “inconvenient truth” is that climate change (CC) is a stealth strategy for enormous, disingenuous long-term, structural tax increases. "CC” will evolve around an economic Ponzi scheme that will be an enormous new source of tax revenue, demolish tens of thousands of high paying manufacturing jobs, and will be a devastating disasters for our next generation's standard of living.

These three schemes are elitism with no affection for the millions of Canadian workers who earn their living in industry, not to mention the working people who will pay more for industry’s products, and higher taxes. This farce is nothing less than a Trojan horse for more taxes, federal regulation, and wealth transfers from makers to takers.

Countries that participate in any version of a Cap, Trade & Tax wealth transferring, and tax increasing scam will witness a tangled web of new bureaucracies, and job-slaughtering regulation as well as increasing the price of all goods and services including food, gasoline, and electricity. Over regulation will increase the price of Canadian goods, and will make them less competitive in world markets. Consequently, Canadian producers will suffer in export markets and domestically in competition with goods imported from countries that do not impose high implicit tax on CO2 emissions. The results of course will be massive manufacturing and service industry job losses leading to a much lower standard of living for us and especially our children.

In fact, a 2009 study by economists at the California State University at Sacramento found that the implementation cost “could easily exceed $100 billion” and that the program would raise the cost of living by $3,857 per household each year by 2020. So much for the so-called free green lunch!

Our CINO PM, for once, must put his so-called conservative principles ahead of his job ambitions, and refuse to cave-into the extreme left who are demanding more job killing, product price increasing, taxing increasing, and standard of living lowering over-regulations that are preventing GNP growth.

Rational people would think that the first step must include legitimate research and informed discussions pursuant to the current climate change paradigms rather than relying on erroneous computer models based on left-bias assumptions and manipulated data by some rogue “scientists”. These scientists are competing in a culture of exaggeration for the finite number of government research dollars by fabricating gloom and doom fantasies. The deliberations must include more than incontrovertibly paying attention to the biased press and environmental NGOs, each of which have their far-left agendas plus incentives to increase their influence and earnings or government grants.
They are taking advantage of our emotions to put cash in their pockets while milking global warming for all its worth.

The system is obviously off its rails.

All around me, they are building wind-turbines, also known as windmills ... 650 of them along Lake Erie. They blight our landscape, and sell the power to the USA at below cost!

All of it to serve 'the green economy' ... and Dalton is getting out of town before the poop hits the propeller.

It's a delusion used to bilk well-meaning innocents ...
