First of all - BRAVO Mr. Harper... THAT's what canada stands for, glad to see someone take a stance.

Second -

Anyone else notice how at the meeting of french nations, Harper chose to speak english? I thought it was hilarious!

He always says his bit in one of the official languages in a prepared statement, then repeats it verbatum in the other. Then if he's answering questions, he always answers in the same language that he was asked in.

Absolutely polite and correct.

As for his actions at the conference, its a big feather in Canadas cap to have our PM pull off such a diplomatic coup!

Ah, yes... guess the media just shows all the coverage of him speaking english ;)
