The SCOC has never ruled on whether SSM is a charter right - the Liberals never pushed the issue there, and court was vague in the referral. The Tories of course don't want to rock the boat. I think most social conservatives consider it a dead issue politically.
As for polygamy I'm sure BC deliberately screwed things up to get the case thrown out. So long as the only polygamy (as least that we know about) is a group of religious fantatics in the middle of nowhere there is not much, if any, political traction.
