Just looking at the results now and it looks like all of the PC support shifted to the NDP. That is unless previous Liberal support made the shift and the PC's made a shift to the Liberals.

Either way, did Rodney MacDonald do something so horrible that it would justify this kind of result. I can't help but wonder if this could lead to a slow death for the Tories while the Liberals somehow become the right of centre party.

Yep. To name a few, he had the legislature sitting only 17 days this past year; waited until May to put out a budget; bought $235,000 worth of child size ATV's; acted like the biggest boot licker to the federal government during the Atlantic Accord affair; then (after seeing a poll that the NDP were ahead) decided to use the Williams approach to the Atlantic Accord and told NS MP's to vote against the budget and when Bill Casey got kicked out of the party for it, the next day said he would be supporting the federal conservative who would run in that riding, not Casey; his big election promise was a provincial curfew on kids under 16 between 1am and 6am. He was a complete disaster.
