our media and pollsters are at times very rediclous and make things up as they go along , there latest one is they have decided to run around and claim the liberals are " surging " . even though they are only up a couple % from previous polls , far short of what would qualify as a surge in the polls but to them the truth does not matter .
the wording and ways they try and spin these polls around is absolutely rediclous , and i doubt they'd ever claim the conservatives were surging if they went up by only a couple % .

Somebody is always surging. The status quo does not make news. They have to attach meaning to some pretty boring numbers. "Everything is about the same as last week" does not make new.

Yep..if we were in the "lead" like this and tried to pull the plug for an election it'd be another slew of articles on how we probably wouldn't win and are just forcing an election that "canadians don't want"... we should get back to making gov't work etc...blah blah blah

I remember back to before last campaign, they had a valid point that our mediocre lead over the worst liberal leader in modern history was no accomplishment and actualyl spoke to our weakness. They had a point. But equally so, Ignatieff is supposed to be in his "honeymoon" period having just been elected...against the backdrop of the worst economic period in two decades and they're holding a few percentage points lead on us? Big deal...
