The Sapper Mike McTeague Wounded Warriors Fund

The fund supplies injured soldiers with packs containing blankets, DVD players, a Team Canada jersey, and other items designed to make their hospital stay more bearable. Hospitals caring for Canadian Forces personnel are supplied with video games, music and movies, as well as computers and other sources of entertainment for their patients. The fund additionally provides support to Fisher House, a facility in Germany that provides free accommodations to relatives of soldiers requiring serious medical care.

Boomer's Legacy

Boomer’s Legacy is named in remembrance of Corporal Andrew James Eykelenboom, a Canadian military medic who was killed by a suicide bomber in Spin Boldak, Afghanistan in August 2006 at age 23. The funds raised will be used to directly support the people of Afghanistan affected by poverty and war with emphasis on programs and services for women and children. The funds will be expended through Canadian Forces, Task Force Afghanistan using the Assistance to Afghanistan Trust Fund, under the authority of the Commander, Task Force Afghanistan.
