WOW!

People are thinking he is gonna turn into Harper this election. I think he will turn into Inspector Closeau.

His handlers will talk to him later today and say. "WHAT DID WE TELL YOU ABOUT WINGING IT".

According to AGWN, this was Dion's reply:

Quote:
“‘What is a car pool?’ he asked organizers, who enlightened him. ‘Oh that’s good. I’m never alone in my car.’”

Steve Janke then raised the point, quite astutely, that this is because he doesn't have driver's license. He can't be alone in car, if he wants it to actually take him anywhere. The guy's never held a license.

Things like this keep popping up with Dion - wasn't it last year, that his handlers had to tell him to eat a hot dog / pizza with his hands? Sure, these things don't disqualify him from the office of Prime Minister, but they hint at a man who has very little connection to the daily lives of the vast majority of the people he wants to lead.

Ya, it was a hot dog that he sat down and started eating with a fork and knife.

If we vote for politicians based on what utensils they use, it's no wonder why we end up with the governments that we do. Don't get me wrong, there are plenty of reasons to criticize Dion...but criticizing him for using a fork and knife is just silly.

I'm criticizing him because he wants to represent the citizens, of whom he knows nothing about.

Remember how people made a big deal about Harper shaking his son's hand? This is 100 times worse.

This is why Harper has the ads making him out to be an average father type guy. He knows that Dion's handlers won't be able to hide him anymore and people will start noticing that he really is a rather odd fellow and doesn't understand average working people on the street.

If voters get it in their head that he doesn't understand them and their concerns this will frame every issue in the election.

Environment? Dion doesn't know what it's like to have a real job and be afraid of losing it, his plan will cause layoffs.

Crime? Dion doesn't understand what it's like to no longer feel safe in your own neighborhood.

Economy? His plan will make things like groceries and gas more expensive, things he doesn't have to worry about.

Art Funding? Dion would rather waste money on crap than use it to get more police or doctors, things that can really help real people.

That's better. I might not necessarily agree with all of those criticisms, but at least they make more sense than criticizing someone for using a knife and fork.

It's less about utensils and more about shared experience. Are you more comfortable with people with whom you have more in common or those who you know you lack even basic understanding of your day-to-day experiences?

Stephane Dion has never held a driver's licence. Until recently, he didn't know what a carpool is and, even now, I doubt he understands why people would share a ride. Yes, he ate a hot dog (likely the first one in his life) with a fork and knife. Does this sound like someone you would want to spend an afternoon in a skiff fishing with? I don't think so.

Maybe he was hoping for some cheese and gravy to put on his hot dog.

When he bought the Hot dog the clerk at the store packaged it up with a knapkin and condiments and asked him if he would:

Quote:
"like a knife and fork in the bag"

To which Dion replied. "Are you a Conservative supporter that you would want to attack my genital region!!".

That guy doesn't understand ANYTHING!
