My name is tori.

I dont have a blog, but I have been reading BT and others since the last election. Love these blogs! I gotta tell you, I was beginning to lose hope that there were sane people in Canada that had similar views as mine. I live in the conservative wasteland that is york region in ontario- and the lone con MP (van loan) is not even in my riding.

Im a SAHM who is NOT a redneck, religious, bible thumping, neo-con who totes a long gun everywhere I go- but I don't have to tell you guys that! :)

Thanks for putting up the forums! They are SO addictive!

Tori

Hey, my name is Scott and I do have a blog (Conservative Canadien).

I'm a 23 year-old U of A student here in Edmonton who's slowly becoming more involved in politics, besides blogging of course. Not much to say other than that I worked as a volunteer in the Laurie Hawn campaign that was successful in knocking off Landslide Annie. Oh, and I will be working on the U of A portion of the Ted Morton Alberta PC leadership campaign.

Well, I hope you can turn that anger into constructive arguments as to why people shouldn't obsess over these issues. This board isn't for angry spewing, just for thoughtful conversation and rational argument.

Welcome aboard Dan. I look forward to your contributions.

I'm not a blogger either but I've read BT for over a year now.

I'm a polisci major at U of T... also studying French and Russian. I'm a member of my home riding's EDA Board of Directors. I've also been working as a summer student in my MP's office.

This place definitely looks interesting.

I'm a college graduate from southern Alberta, and I am one of those redneck neocons, but I only wish I could tote a long gun with me everywhere I go :)

I have been involved (at the grunt level) in campaigns for Rick Casson and Myron Thompson, but have ceased overtly partisan activities for career reasons. I'm also a volunteer firefighter / EMR and should be be sworn in as an RCMP Auxiliary as soon as my uniform arrives from Edmonton. I also volunteer as a Civilian Instructor with the Air Cadet movement.

I think I'm gonna like these boards.

Hi. My name is Mac and I've been an alcoholic for... wait, wrong meeting!!

Just kidding... I'm not an alcoholic but I am a blogger, albeit fairly new to the game and not particularly active due to time constraints.

I live in the greater Vancouver area, close to the border with the US. Anyone who knows the area will recognize this: the rock is painted white!!

Good luck with your newest venture, Stephen and Craig!!

ps: in the avatar, that's me in the middle!!

Hi my name is Mark, and I am not a political blogger, but started following the BT since more or less the beginning of last year's election. I'm a dual citizen, Canadian-American, and the order is interchangeable. I don't fit a clean nice electoral conservative definition but am domestically paleoconservative, a hawk/neocon is foreign policy, and a very devout Christian. I'm currently starting my first year of university at UBC and am planning to be a poli sci major.

This summer, I worked on the campaign to re-elect Governor Scharzenegger and am currently getting myself adjusted so I can find a local Tory to support.

Hi, my name is Donald. I was a conservative of various sorts from 2000 to 2004, after a vaguely Leftist Blairite early youth. Since then I made a brief pit stop with the Liberals as a spiralled towards Leftist oblivion. I would currently place myself as a libertarian socialist. I am interested in various anarchisms, autonomist Marxism and council communism. I try to take all of this with a grain of salt, though. Given that I have been convinced any which way, I enjoy talking with people who I disagree with and am a natural devil's advocate. At the very least it can provide comic relief for either side.

I too love the blogs. Once I figured out that the evening news could not be trusted, blogs became my main source of news. There is competition, facts are checked, lies are quickly weeded out. I actually like to obsess about terrorism and Islamic fascism; they are important issues of our time. I am a programmer out in Saskatchewan.

I didn't read the rules because I am a rebel.

I just thought I would say hello.

I am a dorky grad student from the University of Calgary (poli sci MA) and Queen's (Master of Public Admin).

I look forward to constructive debate and flaming stupid people who might post here from time to time.
