Well it did disturb me last month when I was on hold with CRA and the computerized voice told me to be aware if I was on a cell phone, personal information may not be able to be kept confidential. So even the government is aware that our cell phone calls may be monitored.

Another thing that bothers me is a few years ago I had a farmer who had filled out a form to apply for a government subsidy. The reply from the government was that his submission was inaccurate because their satellite imaging could determine exactly how many acres were seeded to a certain crop. On the letter was a list of his crops and exactly how many acres were seeded. This freaked the hell out of me. Big Brother is truly watching.

Didn't know they could determine crops. That is kind of a misuse of a satelite as far as i'm concerned. I use it to determine acres being farmed and not being farmed. Every municipality has aerial maps.
