Welfare isnt as easy to get on as everyone assumes.
I know that they still have to show that they are looking for work by handing in a sheet listing all the places that they applied. The sheet has to be signed by the owner of the business where you apply.
One trick they have is to give a friend's phone number and if called will vouch for them. Getting a signature is no big deal for those wanting to avoid work and workfare.
There are tricks to get around this though.
Fraud is rampant in the welfare system. Fraudsters know everything in the book. Many of them are able bodied who collect welfare and work for wages paid under the table. Read black labour market. The number of new cars owned by dwellers in subsidized housing neighborhoods is mind boggling.
