It is a sin to have sex without love and to produce children. Sex for pleasure is a sin…gays can’t make babies when they have sex…therefore homosexual sex is a sin.

Therefore...99% of the world are sinners.

Look sex, per Biblical terms is supposed to be between husband and wife in a marriage and only used for reproductive purposes.

Now how many people have had premarital sex or sex after divorce, etc. ? Oh let me wager 90% or more of society? (more like 97% probably).

And how many people have had sex just for pleasure (even in a marriage)? Uh yeah...

So i guess the entire world are sinners!

Didn't I also read a verse that said its a sin to spill seed? (i.e. masturbation). Well with the above 3 things, that damn well makes it certain 99.99% of the world has sinned on this subject.

Your friend, had a son that killed himself and she bribed a priest/minister to send him off to heaven?
Correct
You heard from "sources" that a pedophile was sent off to heaven? That seems to be a gossipy statement IMO. There is only one entity that has the power to deny entry into Heaven, the one that truly knows a heart or minds contents.
I asked 3 people who attended the funeral, I asked them all separately, they all confirmed that he went to heaven
I will get to your link when I have a while to watch it. Unfortunately or (fortunately for me) I happen to currently have a life which in reality takes priority over curiosity at the present moment. When you have as many kids as I do 40 minutes of free time to concentrate on something is a luxury that must be orchestrated. I too look forward to talking to you about it.
I look forward to it, too :D

Fascist, I wish I would have seen your post before you edited it. I am sure it was directed at me, so I'll accept your apology. FYI I posted about a documentary I saw, concerning the amount of testosterone in-vitro. I didn't make the documentary, I just posted about it because I found it very fascinating. Don't shoot the messenger.

I said a swear word before sick.
And I wasnt appologizing to you, I was saying sorry to anyone who was offended by my use of fowl language.

Guess I should go take some testosterone now until I dont like looking @ brad pitt without his shirt off. That should 'cure me'

As long as you are comfortable with who you are, that's all that matters. The body is beautiful, both male and female. Who doesn't like to gaze upon some young thing? It doesn't necessarily mean that you're lusting either. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
I guess now is not the time to mention the minister of the United Church who was gay and could not come out of the closet, due to his position in Church. So I ask, is he a sinner? (I do taxes, sometimes people tell me more than I want to hear)

I had to vote 'other' because of the question. Homosexual BEHAVIOR is a sin. Homosexual tendencies in themselves are 'disordered', but BEHAVIOR makes it deliberate, a choice.

I have read research indicating that there has been success in eliminating these 'tendencies' with therapy and prayer. This would seem to indicate that 'environmental circumstances' (events during upbringing, or certain phycological damage ) may at least partly explain homosexual tendencies. This , added to the FACT that there is literally no proof at all that there is any 'gay gene' or genetic cause for homosexuality.
A Christian response to homosexual tendencies, would be to seek to limit exposure to temptation, and offer up the sufering inherent in a persistent persecution of the soul. Most of us have something that is our weakness. (adultery or pre-marital sex, for instance, pornography, PRIDE, ...any of the 7 deadlies) The sin of homosexual behavior is a category that gets a lot of attention, the war has been long ago lost to have people recognize the other sexual sins. I guess we just aren't too interested in sin and redemption anymore. Too comfortable? (Maybe we need a little pain in comfy Canada...you know, to help us remember Who is there, and WHY?)

Our public schools and general public acceptance of this abherrant behavior as 'normal' are likely creating an 'environment' that will increase the incidence of homosexuality. Canada is making sure it can be counted as among the 'gay nations' of post-christian society....as we are actually considered in the Caribbean! Gay Canada! One of the first things of 'propaganda' is to tell those you are 'educating' that your idea is normal and widely accepted. If widely accepted means North America and western Europe, o.k.- but the rest of the world still calls it wrong.

You are so right, Lets just erase, discount all the good works that churches/congregates do in the name of said churches/God in the community and world wide.

Happy to be of service, just pop on this thread next time you need a barium enema, colonoscopy or surgery, it'll save you the cost of an "evacu-pac".

I have heard rumors that some folks who aren't even religious have issues with the whole gay thing. What say you to that? Mental Illness?

a rational person would not ignore tradition and the wisdom gathered over 2000 years of history as blithely as 'non-believers' and 'freedom' lovers. Christian tradition (which until recently was the same thing as 'tradition' for most of us) teaches us that 'freedom' demands responsibility. Freedom means freedom to make a good choice. A bad choice bears bad consequences. Homosexual behavior would be a 'bad' choice - something that the world has always known, and until recently, recognized.( There is a particular arrogance that allows people to believe that their 'era' has special knowledge hitherto unavailable to mankind.)

Chris, I see you're from BC. You wouldn't happen to be a teacher, would you? I hear they have a whole different perspective on 'good' and 'bad' in BC...I don't think it has anything to do with thinking, or being rational, more like intellectual laziness and shallow interest in reality.
