As far as sweeping generalizations go, I'd say its fairly accurate. I'll add a few more, despite the heat this is gonna draw :D . I also split up Government employees.

Liberals...
Lawyers / Judges
Government Bureaucrats and Senior Management

NDP...
Truthers
Jihadis
University Students and Faculty
Unionized Government employees

Conservatives...
Military
Seniors

Muslims, by their own count, claim to have voted 75% for the Liberals in the last election and only 3% for the Conservatives.

I don't think this applies any more. The recent Chinese quip by the head of the Liberal Party is another nail in the coffin for the Liberals with respect to the Chinese community.

I'm pretty sure that the Conservatives get the majority of the East Indian vote too.

The Gay and Lesbian Community tend to vote Lib/NDP...

Not shocking considering the CPC stance on the definition of marriage i suppose.

Oh.. women tend to vote to the left as well. probably because unlike us, they have functioning hearts lol

I am wondering about the ethnic minorities.

How do Asians vote? (huge voting block on the west coast)

East Indians?

Muslims?

etc.

I think many ethnic minorities have voted Liberal simply because many ethnic minorities are immigrants. I think there is a big misconception in the immigrant community because many that I have met think that the LPC let them into the country, not that Canadians let them in. That's my perception anyway.

Agreed ... and it has been this way since Confederation. Parties have long recognized that immigrants tend to park their vote with the party that was in government when they arrived. I remember a quote in a history book that touched on this, from a recent immigrant to Alberta - "Me Canadian. Me Liberal" - apparently the first two English phrases he learned.
