Quote:
He warned that the United States has not come to grips with "the threat that's facing us in the global war against radical Islamic fundamentalists."

"We're dealing with folks that want to bring us to our knees and bring Western civilization to its knees," Thompson said to enthusiastic applause from the small crowd of Iowans seated on hay bales at the state fair.

"I am unabashedly pro life, I am pro second amendment, and I don't apologize for the United States of America," Thompson said over cheers and applause.

"This country has shed more blood for the freedom of other people than all the other nations in the history of the world combined, and I'm tired of people feeling like they've got to apologize for America."

The more I hear, the more I like.

He sounds good.

I like the Republicans, but can't think of george 2 as anything but a disaster. I have read both leftwing and rightwing books on the subject and can't shake the feeling that he was not really in control of the situtation but was being manipulated behind the scenes)Cheney).

Yeah, there are better candidates from an ideological standpoint. Thompson could actually win though. He has the star factor and speaks very well.

I really like Thompson, but I get the feeling from much of the polling that he may end up being the preferred VP candidate.

This is my choice for the Republicans. He speaks well, and can move people, and he is a true conservative.

Not only the west but USA,Canada and other nations in general. Now this generation has a choice either stand up to Terrorists{Al'Qaeda,Hezbollah,Hamas,Al'Qaeda in Iraq}and the Problems of this world or tell our the next three generations we sarfice their futures for our indulgent lifestyle.

Thompson second and, wait for it, Ron Paul third! The most visible support outside of the closed straw poll was for Ron Paul. These polls are not even open to all registered GOP voters. Ya gotta be a part of the good 'ol boy club or be invited in as a 'friend'.

What America needs is a does of reality that they are in a war....8 years of Self-denial,defeatist-apologist and Rewritten history attiude needs to stop. There are people that hate America and the worst is we may see them as a Army them a Terrorist group if we allow them to succeed.

And your proof of that? The GOP is so scared of Ron Paul because he tells the truth!
