Nothing on Israel there and a true statement. I believe we should build nuke plnts, go from gas to electric everything, and pull out of the Middle East letting them kill eachother.

Let's look at that again:

The U.S. defiles Islam with military bases on holy land in Saudi Arabia, its initiation of war against Iraq, with 12 years of persistent bombing, and its dollars and weapons being used against the Palestinians as the Palestinian territory shrinks and Israel’s occupation expands. There will be no peace in the world for the next 50 years or longer if we refuse to believe why those who are attacking us do it.”

Ron Paul quoted Bin Laden's reasons for fighting the US. So there is some Israel in there, but did you note that our support for Israel was #3 on Bin Lauden's list? Have you also noted that Ron Paul has repeatedly publicly stated he will support Israel and is a professing Christian? As such there is absolutely no merit to any statement suggesting Ron Paul is an anti Semite, or that he would withdraw our support from Israel. Does Ron Paul have some wacky supporters, yes. But that is simply a result of his strong stance on personal liberty vs the current neo con fascist state that is developing. Any candidate that would have a focus on personal liberty is going to get a small but very vocal group of nuts following them.

You know, I'm not really sure how you can interpret those remarks without seeing a clear anti-Israel sentiment.

Quote:

He's not just quoting Bin Laden, he's explicitly endorsing that those are the reasons, and implying that America's foreign policy must change vis-a-vis Israel to accomodate some of radical Islam's grievances. Palestinian territory, such as it exists, is not shrinking, but expanding as Israel continues to dismantle settlements. The only time Israelis feel compelled to attack 'Palestinians' is in direct response to attacks on their people.

The clear implication of Dr. Paul's remarks is that America should withdraw financial support from Israel, as well as diplomatic support of their right to self-defense. There's no other way to read it, IMO.
