I don't see Vancouver making it out of this one alive. I hate to say it, but Anaheim in 6.

I predict San Jose will be coming out of the Western conference. Hopefully to face Ottawa.

I hate to bet against the homeboys but I don't see Vancouver getting lucky twice. That being said, the local sportcasters were all buzzing today about how going to seven would help the Canucks "develop character" and they might go all the way.

Wouldn't an all-Canadian Stanley Cup final be awesome?

Yes, but not for the American clubs. Ideally for them, one of those fringe market teams and an old market team gets in. They would love to see buffalo vs San Jose. Ottawa vs Vancouver would get exactly 40 hardcore viewers in the US. Canadians will be watching regardless.

He basically already carried them through one series, and stopped well over 30 shots per game. It is possible that he could steal 2 series for them, but I think it is unlikely. New Jersey is a better team than the Stars, with a better goalie (although Turco did have probably his best playoff performance ever). Only if Vancouver shows up with its A game for every period of game will they have a chance. They did not show that kind of consistency in any of the games in the first round.

They didn't show any consistancy throughout the regular season either. My heart says "Go Canucks" but my mind says "Yeah, right!"

I think not liking any Canadian NHL team is the only offense can get you banned from Blogging Tories. Craig, Stephen, am I right? Cheer for Ottawa, or God willing I swear that I will piss and moan about it!

Well, about what I expected tonight. Vancouver is looking a bit like Minnesota, except not as disciplined.

I wish it was otherwise but I wasn't surprised. Too many penalties, too much sloppy play, too many turnovers, not enough dig in the corners...

Yeah, they played 8 1/2 games in the first round too, just a few days ago. They are tired and they are not a 4 line team. They are done. I can't see them winning even one game.

Hard to imagine, after the rush of winning Game 7, they couldn't muster a better effort than this. I'm optimistic they'll dig in and win a couple but the Ducks were clearly dominant and I don't see that changing.

Glad they won I always like the Ducks been with them since the begining. I don't cheer for canadian teams cause people treat it as if it was a international event.

Well, the Canucks took game 2... and lost game 3 although they made a good showing. Perhaps they'll turn it into a series after all?

After game one, I was thinking sweep. Game three, what happened at the end? I seem to remember a brutal giveaway, but that might have been one of the Ottawa games.
