This is going to be a barn burner. Vancouver in 5, because Turco has proven that he cannot get it done. Plus, Luongo is the absolute best goalie in the league today, in my opinion.

Bad draw for Vancouver. I don't think Dallas will go far in the playoffs but they could certainly be a spoiler for Vancouver. Turco provides solid goaltending. Fortunately, Vancouver is hot hot hot. Vancouver in 5.

I want to hear from the Dallas backers. What makes you think they could win? It is not an unrealistic scenario, I just can't see Luongo blowing it in the first round. Then again, stranger things have happened.

Brodeur and Luongo are from the same town. I wonder if they have found the ultimate goalie formula?

Wow, 4 overtimes to take the first game at home. I guess they both really wanted that game.

PS. 76 saves for Luongo, 56 saves for Turco. I guess Luongo wanted it that much more. Probably be some sore backs and such today though.

The only thing that pisses me off is that the Minnesota Anaheim game was televised instead of this one in my area.

I watched it through to the end of the second OT but I work for a living... It was an excellent high intensity game EXCEPT the third period when the Canucks started trying to coast and hold onto a two-goal lead instead of playing "the program" as per training. Result? Two goals and a tied game.

That was the kind of game that could break the spirit of the losing side. On the flip side, it can be a strong motivator for a team that has faced previous adversity. Game 2 is going to be decisive in this regard; it will be interesting to see how Dallas responds.

No question, both teams came to play.

Vancouver is up 3 to 1 in the series. I guessed Vancouver in 6. Perhaps I misjudged them? Can they take it in 5?

Luongo is facing 40 shots a game so far, on average. That is not a recipe for a team going deepm in my opinion. 160 shots faced through 4 games. In contrast, Ray emery has faced 90 shots through 4 games.

Well, Vancouver was most definitely NOT finishing tonight. You know what they say, you should ALWAYS be finishing. The way Vancouver played tonight, Dallas could win this series despite Luongo.

Only the 6 and 7 game people could be right now.

I went out to pick up my son after a school function so I missed the overtime after the first minute. I picked Vancouver in 6...

The Canucks looked unfocused, especially on offense. The Stars were completing their passes. As I've said before, Luango can't carry the whole team... They've got to score more goals.

They have to want the puck before they can score more goals. It looked like a pre-season effort on Vancouver's part tonight.
