I want it to be known that I own a poodle, I like poodles, and I believe that poodles are superior to many other breeds. Furthermore I find it offensive when people use the term poodle as some kind of insult, such as when they say "Blair is Bush's poodle" or the like.

Mmmmh... real poodles can actually be pretty tough dogs.

I think most people think of those toy poodles.

But I must say, i voted for my opinion doesn't matter

I know... My Siberian Husky plays with a "real" poodle regularly... but my opinion doesn't matter either. Toy dogs are really just cats without the attitude problem.

Somehow, knowing I have the same kind of dog as Garth Turner and Stephane Dion doesn't fill my days with delight but she's a great dog despite it all.

I should have made the second option "Poodles are REALLY great".

I have no problems with poodles (I've got a terrier/poodle X). I take issue with the haircuts people give them...

I have a different dog in the "toy dog" category and it is sometimes aggressive to other people.

If you want a dog to name after Churchill, it must be an English bulldog; I kid you not that it is the law of this land. It is right there in the BNA, if you look carefully. I swear.

Hey, that's a loaded poll! Right now I have a Husky-Shepherd cross but I used to have a black chow. That was a cool dog, purple tongue and all. But I'd have to agree with whoever said poodles are cool, I just don't like the stupid haircuts people give 'em. :)

It was "epic poodle shave down weekend" at our house this past weekend. We took a fairly large sack of hair off the dog in preparation for spring. I left him a bit of fro on top, and on the tail, that was it. Much easier to take the mud of him as he will not stay out of even the smallest puddle. He goes and lays down right in the middle of any icy slush we come across at the dog park.

That is why I love polls, because they are so easy to load.
