I would say I mostly fit in the first choice with a little bit of the other two i.e. values, defense

Interesting... looking at the current numbers it seems as if Canadian conservatives tend to fit into our more stereotypical role; less socially conservative, and more fiscal/defence oriented. Of course, this is hardly a representative polling, but I'd be surprised to see it change a lot in the broader scope of Canadian conservatism.

at the time I wrote this, we're at 55/15/30 with 21 votes.

Pretty cool how close the numbers match up, although the last two are inverted.

In must say those options all sound pretty appealing... but samll government, however appealing, isn't a big priority of mine. I would have to say defence overall. WE are the only party to recognise that as a mojor issue, and with that, we have tio give that issue a great deal of respect.

Social Centerist - Fiscal Conservative...thats me alright...some people would say I'm bordering on Social Liberal because of my views on SSM, Abortion, God, etc...all the fun stuff...but major right-wing points for me are Drugs...I want to see the government engage in a War on Drugs...all kinds, soft or hard. I suppose one could call me either
a) Libertarian
b) Progressive Conservative/sudo-Red Tory
or
c) Centerist/Borderline Center-Right...thats my favorite one...

By conventional classification I am more of a libertarian than a conservative. So within the framework of your poll, issues of liberty and personal freedom are definitely central for me. Being a non-believer, the so-called "values" issues do not play a significant role. And while I am concerned about issues of homeland security and defense, I am skeptical of the current engagements overseas.
