Greenpeace doesn't even begin to get my respect with this ad:

I think that GP's problem is that their approach alienates people.

Well, get some angry kid out there almost promoting terrorist action... not a good idea. I mean, where are all these "television screws up our kids" people on this ad?

I saw this a couple weeks ago - the first thing I thought was "ah you're just a kid", but as I thought about it more I thought about the poor message it sends.

I don't know how Greenpeace expects anyone to take them seriously anyway..

If there is one thing that we have learned in the last 50 years, it is that threats and terrorism are the most effective tool you can employ. Worked for the mullahs in Iran, works for the Chinese, works in Caledonia. This is obviously a smart child who knows how to get what he thinks he wants.

"You're either for my future or you're against it..."

Sounds like something Dubya would say, but without the snotty immaturity and juvenile facial expressionů

This kid is not old enough to evaluate the evidence about climate change. He is also (as all kids in Canada are) over consuming and is thus part of the problem regardless.

If "his" future involves governments and individuals submitting to ill-informed demands and veiled threats from enviro-activist organizations like Greenpeace, then I reject his future and I revile the organization which produced this tripe.

Forget it, give the kid a slap on the backside, send him to the corner, & discipline the child.
