If George II had stopped at Afganistan he would have went down as a great President. He also was instrumental in getting Libya to give up terrorism don't forget.

Iraq was a huge mistake. If they lose there they lose the war on terror.

To say he is the worst president is foolish and stupid and shows a lack of knowledge of American History.

I agree with this. President Bush has had two MAJOR events to deal with...

1. Dot com meltdown

2. Largest terrorist attack in US history

Without both of those events he would be cruising along like Clinton did. People need to put things into context - Reagon was great but didn't have nearly the same problems as Bush to deal with - the same can be said for at least 1/2 of the other US presidents.

I'm no Bush fan - but he is far from the worse. And labelling someone "the worst" is silly since no two administrations can fairly be compared in terms of the challenges they faced.

I would actually think the attack on Pearl Harbor was a bigger terrorist attack than what Bush faced, and as for the dot.com crash how major market corrections like that happen quite often. I agree though that these two events taken together more than taxed Bush's abilities. But lets look what came after. He went after Bin Laden in Afghanistan a great step and then when he had the Taliban on the ru or in hiding he gave up the chase. A nonsensical move. He hadn't even secured one front before he opened another. And why did he open up a second front. He managed to convince America to support an invasion of Iraq based on a pack of lies. The fact that he got others to voice them makes no difference. I can't believe any true conservative is prepared to excuse him.
