We both have strong feelings of national pride, cept up here Canada tends to whine and complain more bout the smallest and simpliest of things. USA is not perfect but they are fully aware of the problems and tend to focus on it, While Canada tends to well hide behind it.....

What matters most is there is no such thing as a perfect nation cept those who lived behind fantasy.

And, when you ask for Tea you GET iced tea..

And many of us Canadians consider Malt vinegar REAL vinegar - thats just a class thing :P

But otherwise we're like a family - lotsa hate, but just as much love for each other.

Evidently you haven't looked at the Democrats, DT. Some of them make our Liberals look like fresh-faced choirboys.

I have seen the Democrats in the USA Mac and i am disgusted by the heavy-handed racist scare tactics as well as the Fear and Smear Campagin that allowed them to suceed in becoming the Majority.....I mean their slogan "New Direction for America"? Give me a !@# break they are going to turn the nation back 10 years because those who voted Democrat wanted to keep their Self-indulge Lifestyles and are in self-denial after five years from 9/11.

Actually Quebec leads Canada, Canada pays Quebec to lead them, English is our second language now, French is now first, we must all learn French or else the only job we can get is, "do you want fries with that sir."

I know a lot of people would disagree with me, but I think Canadians are more arrogant then Americans. This is based on how we fell about each other. I have heard tons of Canadians refer to the Americans as stupid or something similar. Although Americans believe they live in the greatest country in the world, I am unaware of any times that they have looked down upon us as intellectually inferior (correct me if I'm wrong please).

Let us also not forget that American families are much more closely knit. In Canada the family is being eroded as an institution but in the United States it remains strong.

Ultimately, I am not sure about the value of comparing Canada to the United States when differences between our own provinces can be just as marked.

Good points CC. Canadians are more arrogant than Americans. We aren't as arrogant as the french but close. Any culture that pulls itself up by pushing others down has serious issues. And that is exactly what the liberal elite that rules this country does. We measure ourself against the faults of our neighbours.
