University enrolment surpasses one-million mark

Quote:
Canadian universities can now boast they serve over million students after seven consecutive years of record high enrolment.

Enrolment surpassed the one-million mark for the first time during the 2004-05 academic year, according to data released Wednesday by Statistics Canada.

Looks like an undergraduate degree is becoming less of a distinguishing feature for graduates.

Is this a good thing? A better educated society or a lowering of the bar for Canada?

Is this trend indicative of grade inflation?

Looks like "access to education" is one less thing for lefty campus groups to whine about... everyone seems to be getting in.
