So, any of you thinking about this yet? In the past I have bought labour sponsonsored venture capital funds for my RSP. You get a big tax break, but the money is locked in for 8 years and so far, the investment has only treaded water for 2 years. Plus the fees seem really steep. The CPC donation tax breaks are nice. Anyone got any other stratagies for keeping your money away from government?

In the CPC platform of an election or two ago, they talked about setting up another retirement savings program, the opposite of the RSP; no tax break for deposit, no tas when withdrawing. What ever happend to this plan? I really liked the sound of it.
