Trump claims Republican Party is 'disenfranchising people' with 'crooked shenanigans' as Cruz picks up delegates in states where the billionaire won more votes
* Trump won more votes in Louisiana but Cruz may emerge with more convention delegates from the state
* The billionaire cited that example as evidence of a 'corrupt system' of Republican elites scheming to make sure he's not their standard bearer
* 'It's not right. We're supposed to be a democracy,' he told 10,000 fans in Rochester, New York
* The Empire State's Republicans will hold a primary on April 19, and Trump is leading polls by a mile

I am not exactly sure how Cruz added any delegates;
Because based on the current information he still has exactly the same amount of delegates as he did on Primary night which was the exact same amount as Trump does.

I would be interested in the details of the "political wrangling" as the article was a little light in that regard but I would imagine on the second ballot when the Rubio delegates are released they likely won't vote Trump if that is what he is referring to?

Perhaps this can explain it ...

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FDiZ5HW2wqU

It also happened in Louisiana, where Trump won handily, but got fewer delegates than Cruz.

It's also happening on the Democrat side. Hillary seems to be able to get about as many delegates as Bernie even though she loses the vote.

I suspect very few groups know the actual totals. The rules in each state are arcane and mysterious, and not at all the same state-by-state. It seems that the Republican nabobs are changing the rules as the contest proceeds. They have a rule, called the Romney rule, that was designed to keep Ron Paul out of the race. But now it keeps Kashich out, so they are going to change it.

It stinks.

It particularly bad in this election because the next President is going to have to face the music for the excesses of the past two or three administrations, otherwise there is no point ... If Hillary wins, expect more of the $trillion deficits, etc. etc. until there's a crisis. If either Cruz or Trump wins, they will have to do things that actually address the problems. And, in my view, that means they will precipitate a depression.

People don't accept the idea that recessions are the solution to the excesses of hot markets, and too much debt, etc. Politicians instinctively run away from them. through doing things that make the problem worse. The whole point of the insurgent regime reprsented by either Trump or Cruz, is to face the problems, and reverse the trends.
