The protocols of the Elders of Zion; the great hoax. Proved a fake on many occassions, its dangerous lies and outlandish libels haunt us still.

"No Jews were in the towers when they fell". You guessed it, this lie can trace it origins back to the Protocols.

Whenever you hear people talk about Israelis and the blood of innocents, or see cartoons with Sharon eating babies, this is a recycling of that most famous and despicable lie, the blood libel.

In the Arab world, the protocols are reprinted, annually top bestseller lists, and are one of the most powerful propaganda tools that the mullahs and theocrats possess.

I hate to use such emotionally charged language, but this warrants it; all decent people must learn how to spot these lies, and fight to eliminate them from the world.

Some background at Wikipedia.

Note that while the number of books translated into Arabic is very small, the Protocols is annually a best seller.

Quote:
The last years’ Arab Human Development Reports from UNDP are written by Arabs themselves and highlight a number of social and economic issues of primary importance to the question of the population composition. The reports point out that no generation of young Arabs has been as large as that of today. Furthermore, a number of noticeable factors are emphasized including high rates of illiteracy among women and a surprisingly low rate of book translations and publications. In addition, a low number of scientists and engineers work in Arab countries compared to the rest of the world.

If I recall correctly, another prominent best seller in the Arab world, and another one of the few translations, is Mein Kampf.

I've never been a fan of burning books. Perhaps a better way of attacking this would be to prepare carefully crafted books which tell the truth about Western nations, including Israel, and distribute them widely. By carefully crafted, I mean with a view to not violating any of the tenets of the Koran so that imams and mullahs have no theological grounds to stand on to attack the truth. Human nature being what it is, the new book would be another best seller and, perhaps, it would plant a seed...

Salman Rusdie may already have written it.

Yes these protocols are a century old hate propaganda - it is interesting that the writer of this fraud drew a connection with Vedic culture within this comment:

"Our kingdom will be an apologia of the divinity Vishnu, in whom is found its personification" [17,7]

That's an odd comment about Vishnu - why would these writers write about Him? 100 years ago Vishnu was not a household name outside India. They are of course demonizing Jews and apparently "Vishnu" too!

Just see where that link is to - there are a great deal of confused people around this end of the globe that think the protocols are real!
