Wow. Thanks for posting this and doing your bit to overcome the obvious blackout the Canadian media are putting on this story.

I heard in on the Lowell Green show and shortly after some papers started to report it.

The story may be getting too big to be kept out of the Canadian media. The only Canadian sources I have seen for the story are on Small Dead Animals, and as pissedoff says, a phone-in program in Ottawa. They may be a scattering of other people bring this story out, but the mainstream press has not mentioned it. Nothing has appeared on nationalnewswatch.com, for example.

It appears that the family was safely in Istanbul, Turkey for a while before this incident, and safe from the actual violence of war. They were going from Turkey to
a Greek island about 18 miles.

They would probably be considered economic migrants as a result, exploiting the situation to gain entrance to EU countries.

About a third of the migrants are being classified as economic migrants.
