Seems these vets have discovered the truth about Cannabis oil and are now being punished for it.

I'd copy the whole text here but not sure what the forum rules are on that kind of thing.

This is evidence of the dangers of pot right here. It is very apparent that it triggers strong obsessions in its users. Obsessions so strong, that they apparently can speak/write/think of nothing else. Just from what I have seen on this discussion board, it is obvious that this dangerous (and thankfully illegal) drug completely dominates the minds of addicts.

hey DR G sorry I didn't see this right away and i posted the story in the Quebec thread.

as far as the previous writer,,he is right and should think about that and he should be aware that not many ,,and i mean not many worked as hard on the 3 election campaigns,, i have worked on,, than the cannabis users. period,,
well obviously the candidate as well and the elderly
but the most hours and door knocking out side of the candidate was our cannabis people that didn't need to be dragged in.
yes of course like i said there were lots of older dedicated types that worked very hard,,,they are wise so its a no brain er why they are there ,,

what struck me was the young people that use cannabis
some how figured out the same things as the wise elders

why? i guess its the fact that they know only by changing the law can they get any peace and this is the way to do it.

to change the law they need to work and help change things.

for all that it does as far as our scattered thoughts some people belittle us about,
it also makes me very focused and driven.
also very able to think clearly visualizing every choice,,,seriously

i would be careful and not write off cannabis users especially if you haven't tried it,,,don't knock it

it saved my life as well.

we didn't invent it or make it from gas or cold medicine ,
i didn't try it until i was 27 with a seven and six year old in tow(both are professionals in Calgary, my daughter teaches high school in the catholic system)

its been used for thousands of years and only here is it revered and reviled.

most parts of the world treat it as a tool like willow bark (aspirin)or as a herbal medicine when used as tea.

i always have to explain to my parents friends that the only difference between Ritalin and Chrystal meth is in how it is delivered,,,if you smoked Ritalin it would be called Chrystal meth

Our movement has become focused and many of us see ending this prohibition as a worthwhile goal that we can achieve in our lifetimes. We will remain focused on this task until justice is done. That is not to say that we do not live full and diverse lives. There are plenty of other issues that I care about, and also plenty of people already dedicated to promoting those causes. I have chosen this cause, and with more and more dedicated activists coming on board everyday our victory is inevetable. The prohibitionists have had their way for the past 80 years and now they are being exposed as the villains they are. Truth hurt?

I was thinking vets for cannabis would be on the subject of hemp oil superiority over conventional oils . The vets would of known about the quality compared to todays oils.

On the subject of health this should have vets with memory problems running for their hookah.

October 5, 2006
WASHINGTON, (Reuters) -- Good news for aging hippies: Smoking pot may
stave off Alzheimer's disease.
New research shows that the active ingredient in marijuana may prevent the
progression of the disease by preserving levels of an important
neurotransmitter that allows the brain to function.
Researchers at the Scripps Research Institute in California found that
marijuana's active ingredient, delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol, or THC, can
prevent the neurotransmitter acetylcholine from breaking down more
effectively than commercially marketed drugs.
THC is also more effective at blocking clumps of protein that can inhibit
memory and cognition in Alzheimer's patients, the researchers reported in
the journal Molecular Pharmaceutics.
The researchers said their discovery could lead to more effective drug
treatment for Alzheimer's, the leading cause of dementia among the
elderly.
Those afflicted with Alzheimer's suffer from memory loss, impaired
decision-making, and diminished language and movement skills. The ultimate
cause of the disease is unknown, though it is believed to be hereditary.
Marijuana is used to relieve glaucoma and can help reduce side effects
from cancer and AIDS treatment.
Possessing marijuana for recreational use is illegal in many parts of the
world, including the United States, though some states allow possession
for medical purposes.

wasn't talking to you Mac, it was a general question I was posing to prohibitionists which I don't believe you are.

Yup, I'm against prohibition but don't you get tired of beating the drum sometimes?
