When these light bulbs become more affordable what will happen to the mercury filled toxic CFLs, the bulbs the enviro freaks and politcos forced onto us? My guess landfills causing an enviro hazard.

You can get them for between $20 and $40 now. Remember, when CFLs first showed up they were around $80 each.

I bought a Phillips LED a few months ago, the equivalent to a 40w (but only uses 72) for $12 at a Home Depot.

The whole plan all along was to eventually move to LEDs, CFL were just a stop-gap technology.
