Alarmed, fearful parents of young, vulnerable, and defenseless children are relying on the left-plunging Harper administration to pass Bill C-30 without consenting to amendments from the far left, soft-on crime/terrorism opposition parties that would render the bill negligible thereby allowing the Neanderthals to continue their perversion. |

An early indication of how efficient and valuable Bill C-30 can be is exemplified by the intensity of distress and alarmed that the depraved, on-line porn hugging perverts, their far-left political supporters, and their extreme left-bias media cohorts are demonstrating pursuant to its potential capacity to safeguard our young, vulnerable children.
Although Bill C-30 closely resembles Mr. Martin’s 2005 bill that would have expedited similar procedures, the soft-on-crime left-wing Liberals, the extremist in the NDP, and the far-left bias unfair and unbalanced media need to validate their trepidation for our susceptible children rather than their passion for protecting, shielding, and defending porn perverts and other criminals.

I trust the police. They deserve that trust. They have earned my trust and through their response to these trying circumstances they have proven that they are not disinclined to fairness and truth. [/quote]

This is what Canadian police are all about. If you still want to trust these anti-gun, politically-correct zealots with new powers for warrantless searches, then we simply view the world through very different lenses and neither of us will convince the other. |

So you bring out this recent example:
[...]
The detective told him that his four-year-old daughter had drawn a picture of a man holding a gun. When a teacher asked her who the man was, the girl replied, “That’s my daddy’s. He uses it to shoot bad guys and monsters.”
[...]
he got into some trouble with the law five years ago, and was convicted of assault and attempted burglary. But he’s put all that behind him.

There is the reason that 'that' happened. I think that you're stretching here...
I will stand by my comments - Canada is not a police state and our government isn't trying to remake it into one.
Oh and I hate guns too...so what. With the growing number of unstable people in our society I think we need some form of gun control.
Of course my unusual experience [as it came to relate to police] proves they are GOOD and FAIR - more on that later... |

Over the past few years I have seen on BT posts I agree with and a few I don't such as the one cited above. I have never seen the exact same post repeated verbatim as was done here. The only change was that a headline was added. |

I've done some 'verbatim' postings in the past too... |

Yup. As I suspected, we are on completely different pages. No sense continuing this discussion. |

What part of my quoted comment is at issue? My point about that fellow's RECORD being the cause of the seemingly overreaching police reaction [in the story you linked]?
Is it that you do think the government IS conspiring with police to build a police state in Canada?
Obviously you eschew gun control? I simply don't like the proliferation of guns. I don't think that everyone ought to have one. I'm not saying ban them - control isn't banning.
I didn't say that everyone who has a firearm is unstable - what I said is that the growing number of unstable people WITH gun proliferation - is a bad thing. That's all.
I often hear people use the excuse that gun control must be fought against - to preserve our freedom - and I'm not sure why the WW2 example of the Nazis is usually introduced, to consider that, then, we're talking about armed struggle.
When do we foresee the potential for armed struggle - against government in Canada?
Of course having a position that supports some form of gun control doesn't make me a commie! LOL! So many considerations...but what does the for/against gun control issue really have to do with this discussion? |
