There is the reason that 'that' happened. I think that you're stretching here...
I will stand by my comments - Canada is not a police state and our government isn't trying to remake it into one.
Oh and I hate guns too...so what. With the growing number of unstable people in our society I think we need some form of gun control.
Of course my unusual experience [as it came to relate to police] proves they are GOOD and FAIR - more on that later... |

What part of my quoted comment is at issue? My point about that fellow's RECORD being the cause of the seemingly overreaching police reaction [in the story you linked]?
Is it that you do think the government IS conspiring with police to build a police state in Canada?
Obviously you eschew gun control? I simply don't like the proliferation of guns. I don't think that everyone ought to have one. I'm not saying ban them - control isn't banning.
I didn't say that everyone who has a firearm is unstable - what I said is that the growing number of unstable people WITH gun proliferation - is a bad thing. That's all.
I often hear people use the excuse that gun control must be fought against - to preserve our freedom - and I'm not sure why the WW2 example of the Nazis is usually introduced, to consider that, then, we're talking about armed struggle.
When do we foresee the potential for armed struggle - against government in Canada?
Of course having a position that supports some form of gun control doesn't make me a commie! LOL! So many considerations...but what does the for/against gun control issue really have to do with this discussion? |
