During the federal election few paid attention in America. But when Harper stops to play some mini-golf when he visits friends they go ga-ga. Sort of.

Typical and silly. I am disappointed with this style of texting and insult. I can out perform men half my age athletically and other areas... and I have a middle age paunch. Not ashamed of it at all. What shape are you in?

How about down to earth. Harper doesn't fly around to premier golf courses in Airforce One like President Obomination.

What just a couple of comments and the rest just peek? Where are the rest of the Harperites? Or has this forum been flooded with other preferences?

I added an article by Adam Daifallh "It's cool to be a Canadian" to the weblog piece.

I loved this video of the PM. It is too bad that it takes an American media outlet to show him in a favourable light. As far as the paunch goes, I would take him paunch and all in a heartbeat. There are lots of "washboard" stomachs out there not worth a plug nickel.

Unfortunately I am just an old broad looking at our sexy PM......lol

Teabag... you're okay in my book. And there are many of us who don't mind dancing belly to belly.

I second Teabag's comments, and if she's an 'old broad', she's still probably more fun than Lady Gaga on her best day ... and good for EOJ for giving her a little moral support. (Teabag should just be aware that EOJ may be wearing silk pantyhose, as he spins her around the dance floor.) ;-)

We don't see these kinds are stories in the Canadian media because our people are committed to a 'narrative' that shows Harper to be cold, calculating, and roboticly intent on sacrificing the environment to big oil.

Giving the public footage of him having fun in a humble, every-day kind of way, and being charming to a couple of kids, doesn't extend that narrative.

But for the local American channel, he's merely a distinguished visitor, and they simply show him enjoying their town. This is probably what our PM is like, when not packaged up in a narrative that really has very little to do with the man inside. He has friends, he plays mini-golf, and goofs off on holiday weekends.

You may think I'm making this up, but that's how the media people think.
