Thanks! I just repaired the photo link of Mr. Day - how incredible that is! If I had not re-uploaded and re-posted it you would not have seen it! Glad you liked it! :) |

It's even more so mesmerizing if you stare at it and blink real fast - it enhances the 3D effect! :) |

Here is a new picture that I'm restoring - with color...
I've been in need of a diversion - something to do on these long sleepless nights waiting for justice. So instead of wasting my time 'gaming' I do graphics projects - and with this project I have put about 75 hours in [i lost count actually] This has been a difficult picture to do and I hope that it looks good - I hope it retains a photographic quality. Soon it will be completed but I had to share it now!
This fascinating picture [found online] was taken in New York City in 1912 - in front of the Public Library. When I found it - there was something appealing to the setting in the picture. It captures an era of simpler times:
Here is the original:
Here is my nearly completed [very low-resolution version] coloration/restoration:
It looks kind of blurred - here is a clearer version:

Nice job, not quite done since there is a bit of black & white left. And I would consider the clone tool to get rid of the text on top of the photo. |

Hey thanks! Oh yes it is yet incomplete - I will complete it within the next week - I just couldn't wait to share it!
I think I will have to leave the text on the top as that is now a part of the picture but it's not exactly a blemish like the tape that was on the furthest building on the right.
There is a 'rewarding' feeling in seeing the 'picture' emerge as the color is added... |

Very nice... no offense but it's pretty big, it's giving me some side scroll (well the computer LOL ) I enjoy looking at pics and keep promising myself I'll learn how to restore old pics. I do have Paintshop Pro, but just never get around to it. |

Hey thanks! To see without scrolling just click on the picture link and it will open in a new tab - without any need to scroll. You should just sit down and start painting - it will come to you intuitively as you go along. If I taught myself to do it - anyone can! I too love old pictures and colorizing/restoring them is a cool way to bring some modern appeal to history. |

(...still waiting for that miracle....)
Here is a larger resolution version of the picture - click on the link to open the picture and then click on the picture to zoom in/zoom out . Just see how detailed this picture is! It is taking time to complete it. After it is fully colored then I'll have to refine it.

Hey thanks for the compliment! As for posting youtube and pictures - it's very easy here at BT - when you're doing a posting - there is a handy tag system.
To post pictures you do this
To post youtube you do the same only use these tags
To post a URL do the same only use these tags THEN THE ACTUAL URL - though you don't usually have to do this with URL's here as they tend to 'resolve' into a link on their own.
That will post your pictures and videos!
Happy posting! :) |
