My gut feeling is that the Olympic Flag Bearer will be Alexander Biladeau.

Any other predictions?

I would like to see Maelle Ricker or Crosby.

I would say Joannie Rochette.

I could see Joannie Rochette as being a very popular choice. I still think that it would be Alexandre Biladeau just because of his historical accomplishment in winning the first gold medal on Canadian soil by a Canadian.

It won't be Crosby since he's been lackluster at these Olympics.

I think it'll be Bilodeau or Hammelin. They are French Canadian--since Hughes was an English Canada for the Opening Ceremony. Also,Alex was the first gold medalist on home soil and Charles won two golds in under an hour.

"Charles won two golds in under an hour"

It is hard to argue with that. Hammelin would be an excellent choice as a double gold winner.

905,

My understanding is the Hughes is orginally from Quebec. I could be wrong though.

What a tough choice the deciders have to make. I could see Hamelin getting the call. As a double gold medalist, Hamelin played a big part in bringing us over the top in most golds. Hamelin never let his earlier defeats at these games bring him down and his resolve got stronger with time.

One thing I don't want is more than one flag bearer as I've seen suggested in other places. Make the tough decision and go with one.

I'll be happy with the choice of any of our fine athletes. In the end, what matters is the fantastic effort and results of our athletes. We are golden.

It looks like Joannie Rochette will be carrying the colours @ the closing ceremonies. She may not have won multiple medals or even a gold, but her spirit and drive have done us all proud and she has more than earned the honour.

I can't down play that choice. She is the emotional favorite for sure and definitely shows a great amount of emotion.

Great Choice.
