| Quote: | "I'm announcing this morning that I will not be seeking a third term as mayor of Toronto in next year's municipal election," he said.
"While it has been a difficult decision, I feel secure in my priorities, proud of my record, and confident in my vision of the city I love." |

While this did bring a smile to my face,
With the entire city counsel being nothing more then an extension of Millers brand of socialism anyone who takes over will face massive resistance unless they are left of center. |

this is great news i think , its a little surprising he is just going to step down . to be honest it would of been neat to see him lose the next election so we won't get that chance now .
my only fear is that the next mayor could be worse if its just another left of centre type who gets in , but if someone right of centre or at least a moderate that be much better |

Perhaps John Tory will finally win an election...? Given his record so far, the only way he can win is if he runs unopposed... ;)
