i don't usually talk about american politics here but i figured this be the right place to do it . its time to question this news network , i think its coverage has gone well past the point of being biased . and its pittyful that canadians watch it and this is the view there geting of american politics . they couldn't be geting a more democrat friendly if not entirely biased view its no wonder so many canadians think obama is doing such a good job when this is what they see of him , since we don't really get other american news networks here that might offer up a different view of things like fox news or others. anyways it appears cnn is nothing but the Obama news network .

It's my impression that the U.S. news networks are polarizing. When Fox News emerged in the 1990s and 2000s, a large share of Republican viewers abandoned CNN for a viewing environment more predisposed to conservativsm. This left CNN and MSNBC with a large audience of Democrats, which MSNBC in particular has gone to enormous lengths to impress.

that is an interesting take on the situation , each seems to be going in different directions and less similar to each other in terms of there political direction .

so CNN and MSNBC maybe feel its thee job to appeal to the left and liberals if there watching there network the most . and that they can ignore the right since they have gone elsewhere anyways .

but from a canadian perspective its too bad were stuck with just one of them and don't get to see the other sides view of politics in the US . it leaves us here with a very unrealistic and poorly informed view of america .

FOX News has become the number one news network in America. They are sweeping away CNN and MSNBC. It really is interesting to see.

One of O'Reilly's favorite things to toss around is that polls have shown 40% of Fox viewers are independants and Democrats... really, Fox wouldn't be successful as it is if it was only drawing hard-core right-wing eyeballs.
