PostPosted: Sat Nov 25, 2006 8:00 pm    Post subject: Putin losing it? Reply with quote

Russian President Putin was accused earlier this year of murdering a journalist who was critical of his government.

Now, we learn that Russia was likely behind the assassination of one of their former spies in the UK for speaking out against Putin.

In Canada, "Paul William Hampel" has been arrested by CSIS and is suspected of being a Russian spy.

What is going on here? Is Putin, a former KGB agent himself, slipping? Are these desperate times for Russia's foreign intelligence? Why is Putin (allegedly) putting down dissent in such a sloppy way?
