So the Chinese have cancelled a bilateral meeting before the APEC Summit.

I didn't realize Chinese- Canadian relations had become a "real mess" under the CPC. Or is the academic quoted in the story just another publicity seeking hack. Harper stood up and said what needed to be said at the Francophonie. I hope he doesn't let the Chinese get away from APEC without the "earful" they deserve.

A lot of people cannot understand why the CPC caucus does not love China. I for one am happy with cool relations with a communist dictatorship. Why should we even be helping them oppress their own people with free trade and the like?

Just a like a man, a country is known by the company it keeps. Hopefully, more dictatorships and brutal organ harvesting dictators will be snubbing us in the future.

The elite wonders why we don't coddle up to dictators & thugs like their hero Trudeau did. We preferto stand up for what is right

So apparently they will be meeting now...

Hopefully the PM will still bring up the human rights issues - it will show resolve, and is appropriate.

Apparently, we just ejected a Chinese diplomat for gathering information on Falun Gong and other Chinese ex-pats...
