Sure the website looks like crap, and the poll question is one sided, however it is known that the new President of the United States supports a One World Government, as does Hillary Clinton, as does Obama’s Climate Tsar.
So do you support a one world government? Do you think it is even possible? |

Maybe a one world government is the "Change" Obama is always blabbing about.
I think after the worlds economy finishes colapsing we will see an amalgamation of the worlds financial sector. Things will get so pathetic people will clamor for a new monetary policy that is worldwide.
Britain looks like it will probably go bankrupt like Iceland did a few months ago. |

I don't support a one world government but I do support a stronger role for the United Nations. The UN needs major reform to be relevant but in theory its a good idea, one that I believe is necessary. There should be harsh consequences for countries that don't follow the rules decided by the UN. |

The UN cherry picks who it wants to have sanctions against. It is the biggest threat to democracy in the word today. I feel Canada should pull out of the UN. The UN would love to be the worlds government. |

VP Joe Biden, and now Colin Powell, have both strongly hinted at a coming global crisis in which Obama and Biden will need to make drastic, unpopular decisions.
I suspect that this might be it...
Most Americans - even many Americans who voted for Obama - are patriotic/nationalistic enough to take umbrage at America signing over much of its sovereignty to a new or existing world body. On at least a financial level, however, I can sadly see it happen... |

Don't you realize the "problem" they want to correct was deliberatly created. The economic mess was no accident. The worlds governments have already spent more than they did on WW2 with the bank bailouts. This was spent without building a single ship, airplane gun or anything. All that money went into a black hole....vapourized if you will. What has been the result....nothing just more debt.
The Bank of England is trying to get a bill passed, if it hasn't passed already, to allow them to print more money without it appearing on the balance sheets. They are worried they will go bankrupt like Iceland. It won't make any difference. |

| I'm a supporter of world government in the far future but as long as we have world hunger, totaltarians calling the shots, poverty, many uneducated world citizens, hatred, etc. the idea is dead. The first world should not be dragged down to the standards of other nations. So the UN can got you know where. |

I don't even see how a world government is realistically possible. Look at Canada. We have two parts. English Canada and French Canada and we're still trying to figure out how we get along. How are you going to have a government with X number of religions, X number of races and elasticities, X number of languages, X number of backgrounds.
Imagine what a democratically elected world government with most of the world's people coming from developing and 3rd world countries are going to have to say about the developed countries. I can imagine a UN sanctioned sin tax on the white developed countries as pay back for slavery and colonialism. Imgaine Saudi troops policing the streets of Toronto or Calgary? |
