Have any been called?
If notice is not given by next Friday which would create a meeting on 10 Dec, then we will be waiting until the end of January. That's not leaving a lot of time for prewrit activities.

I understand that over a third of ridings have candidates.

Just MPs, no new selection meetings. There are winnable ridings that need time to build up to campaign speed.

From what I hear it is more than just MPs, the blogs have been discussing some and Freedominion has a pretty comprehensive thread on this topic..

Can anyone name one? Not one of the byelections? The FD thread talks about ridings ready to go but no actual selections.

The New Westminster-Burnaby riding was advertising for candidates a couple of weeks ago. I never saw the ad, but Dawn Black (the sitting MP) took a feeble attempt to try and score some points.

I know someone in the Burnaby-New Westminster who is looking for volunteers to help him win the nomination there. I don't know what the time line on this is though.

I just heard that Van Center and West Van have been green lit for a meeting on Dec 20th.

The Van Center Board didn't even know about it, maybe the WV Board as well, just a demon dialer all from Ottawa. VC doesn't even have a potential nominee that they know of.
