No but really are the hidden users at the bottom of the index screen are they admins or what? |

| They are not admins. I don't understand why some people choose that option but about 1/10 of users do. |

| Hidden or not it's your responsiability that you adhere to the rules of the board at all times. Becasue moderation isn't as easy as 1...2...3... especially when it comes to trolls. |

I chose "hidden" when I first set up my account profile, long before I was made a moderator. No particular reason; it was an option.
For me, being a moderator means reminding myself to tone it down since I'm supposed to be leading by example. Although I have the ability to lock threads and modify posts, I rarely exercise such as I prefer to be open and transparent in guiding folks. The written word is a harsh medium of communication and many times, people write things which aren't intended to be offensive but are perceived as such... or they assume people understand when such is not the case.

Members tend to be afraid to start a flame war if the moderator is not hidden. However if your hidden it's far easier to catch the flaming trolls. |
