Actually, the CPC has been debt free for quite some time. We don't even need to take out loans to run elections anymore, not at the national level anyways.

I donated the maximum clip the moment the Coalition leaders established that they did not want to face the electorate and would rely on the Reserve Powers of the Queens representative to form a government.

Since I didn't vote for Queen Elizabeth II in the October election, or the Party "House of Windsor" in October and since the Tories are the only ones who seem to want to allow me to weigh in on this situation, I figured why not donate to help the cause.

Fortunately, the proletariat judges a prime minister based on accomplishments, not how much money they raise for their party.

Even more fortunately, we don't have a proletariat in Canada and the only people who vote for the Prime Minister are the lucky folks who live in his riding.

I sent a cheque as soon as I heard about the Three Stooges trying to pull their hijack attempt.

I thought that the party did take out some loans, and now have to pay them back. The Conservative Fund chairman said so at the convention in November.

You might be right - I missed Gerstein's address, think I was at the hotel or something.

Just received another email from the Conservative Fund this morning.

If it wasn't for xmas expenses, I would have donated already. When the coalition news hit, I was all ready for it.

I guess it will have to wait till January, but it's better than nothing.

As did I.

I was hoping for a calendar for 2009. They gave the membership one for 2008, filled with Harper. I was hoping for a calendar filled with past Conservative Prime Ministers.
