Remember when the villains in James Bond movies wanted to blow up some city at the stroke of midnight to prove they had the bombs? Or they kidnapped satellites?

I wonder if a future 007 villain might be a guy who refuses to recycle? Or a bad guy with a lot of Hummers and a private coal station in a volcano who threatens to leave all his Hummers running 24/7?

In other words an Evil, Insane, Global-Warming, Climate Change… DENIER!!!

He would have to be completely unPC. A bigoted smoker who loves red meat. To really add to the aura of his evilness he would have overflowing ashtrays all around and half-eaten cheeseburgers on take-out plates…

bwwaaahahaaaaaaa!!!

dun duddle dun dun dun dun

dun duddle dun dun dun dun

Think it'd sell?

popcorn?

jujubes … anyone?

From what I hear, that's not too far off from the nefarious plot in the latest Bond flick (still haven't seen it) :(

Seriously?

I haven't seen Quantum of Solace yet.

Ha! There ya go!

Ok so we need a new villain. How about an evil coalition of super bad guys? Nah! Nobody'd buy that!

Seriously kill 007 & get it over already, time to either put this series to rest or have a new 007.

Really? Any spoiler-lite material I've come across indicated that he was an eeevil capitalist exploiter... anyways, I'm still going to go see it, but my expectations are pretty low - I've been hearing that it doesn't live up to the promise of Casino Royale.

The next 007 eco-villain should be Doctor Evil from the Austin Powers movies.

After all back in the 60's he did develop a sophisticated weather altering device he called a "LASER" with which he could create a hole in the protective layer around the earth called the "Ozone Layer" thereby causing skin cancer rates to sky rocket, unless of course the world paid him "ONE MILLION DOLLARS".

He is both believe it or not. He is more like a green environmentalist capitalist. He runs a Greene environmental company, but I don’t want to spoil the movie on what his company actually does.
